Marketing Associate

The Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing team through administrative coordination, organizing and maintaining product sample libraries, and collaborating with production teams to develop and produce printed marketing collateral. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field who are detail-oriented, organized, and interested in the operational side of marketing execution.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Administrative Support:
• Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and general departmental organization.
• Update internal databases, maintain project files, and support event logistics.
• Sample Cataloging & Organization:
• Manage, track, and organize product samples, swatches, or printed materials.
• Ensure sample inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare sample kits for customer presentations, sales teams, and trade events.
• Marketing Collateral Production:
• Work closely with production teams and vendors to support the creation and printing of brochures, catalogs, displays, and other print assets.
• Assist with proofing, routing, and quality checks for printed materials.
• Coordinate timelines and ensure marketing materials are delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Project Coordination:
• Support marketing campaigns and product launches by managing task lists and documentation.
• Help maintain the marketing asset library, ensuring files are current and properly archived.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Canva experience a plus.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat or other design tools is a bonus.

Education and Experience

• Current enrollment in a BS/BA program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Must have completed sophomore year prior to the internship start date.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, such as boxes of samples or printed materials.
