Customer Engineer II (C2)

Position Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] – Serve as the direct liaison with customers to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment, using digital analytics for troubleshooting and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Location & Salary Location: Lehi, UT Salary: $31.00 - $42.40 per hour Key Responsibilities Proficient on the primary toolset and demonstrates ability to acquire additional systems and applications. Performs startup activities through Tier II with limited support. Completes qualifications with minimal assistance. Completes quality repairs. Responds to fab issues by communicating with engineers in other locations and participating in escalation conference calls. Initiates or participates in projects to drive down costs or increase uptime. Carries out action plans and reports findings. Verifies operational quality of system equipment. Follows all checklists and procedures and ensures correct revisions of procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work. Identifies procedural issues when necessary. Performs most retrofits on equipment. Assists with process issues. Applies diagnostic techniques using documentation and test equipment, with assistance from senior engineers. Assumes responsibility for full customer satisfaction, ensuring excellent relations within the assigned area. Demonstrates strong interest and knowledge of the customer’s business. Builds and maintains customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication and knowledge sharing. Operates consistently in high‑pressure or ambiguous situations. Solicits customer feedback. Understands the impact of various actions or decisions on the account. Escalates potential dissatisfies when appropriate. Develops and executes corrective action plans. Performs best‑practice knowledge (BKM) reviews. Engages actively in the use of knowledge management systems. Complies with all IP guidelines. Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a core value. Qualifications & Skills Skilled in a range of processes, procedures, systems, and tool sets to carry out assigned tasks or has developed deep skills and knowledge of tools in a single area. Possesses business expertise in understanding how the team integrates with others to accomplish objectives. Provides informal guidance and support to more junior team members. Solves atypical or infrequent problems based on practice and existing precedents or procedures. Impacts the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of the team by modifying work practices and processes to achieve results or improve efficiency. Communicates technical information clearly within the team.
