Technology Audit - Associate

Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, seeks an internal audit associate within its Technology Audit team in New York. The role provides broad exposure across Blackstone’s global technology platform, supporting risk‑based audits of systems, applications, infrastructure (including cloud) and IT processes. Key Responsibilities Audit Planning & Execution: Assist in risk assessment and planning processes; contribute to design and execution of technology audit work programs; perform risk‑based audits across Blackstone’s global businesses. Controls Testing & Documentation: Identify and evaluate key controls, test design and operating effectiveness, document results, identify findings, and develop corrective actions that mitigate risk, drive efficiency, and add value. Integrated Audits: Support business auditors on integrated audits—mapping IT systems and data flows to business processes; identify technology risks and control gaps; translate technical findings into clear business impact. Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with technology and business stakeholders; understand their operating and risk environments. Innovation & Industry Awareness: Identify opportunities to increase audit efficiency through automation, AI, and data analytics; stay current with evolving technology trends and industry developments. Departmental Initiatives: Participate in firm and department‑wide strategic initiatives and special projects. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years in IT Audit, technology risk, ideally within financial services or a Big Four firm. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with key technology domains (infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, AI) and control frameworks (NIST, ITIL, COBIT). Curiosity & Self‑Directed: Passion for technology, self‑starter mentality, ability to research emerging trends and complete work independently. Driving Professionalism: Commitment to the highest professional standards. Analytical Skills: Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking; data analytics experience a plus. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, presenting complex technical topics clearly, building strong relationships. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. CISA preferred or in progress; cloud or security certifications (CISM, CISSP, AWS, Azure) are a plus. Salary & Benefits Expected annual base salary range: $110,000 – $150,000. Additional compensation includes health benefits (medical, dental, vision, FSA), paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) plan, discretionary bonuses, and potential equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s discretion.
