About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:00) Experience: 2+ years License: Missouri or Compact Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation, ability to read and interpret telemetry, management of cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias. Description: Locals are allowed for this position. First-time travelers are not accepted. Block scheduling is allowed, unless staffing gaps need to be filled. All staff are open to balancing in such cases. Staff is responsible for self-scheduling. The start date is ASAP. Licensure must be in hand prior to commencement. The role requires experience in cardiac rehab. Candidates must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry. Knowledge in managing cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias is essential. Familiarity with telemetry on the unit monitoring is required. Experience with angina, hypertension, post-cardiac surgery, post-myocardial infarction, and post-vascular surgery is necessary. Knowledge of blood glucose monitoring and diabetic teaching is expected. Candidates should be skilled in fall risk assessment and prevention. Infection prevention practices must be followed. Candidates should possess pain assessment and management skills. Patient teaching experience is essential. The daily patient census is approximately 12 individuals. Anticipate working some holidays and weekends. Requests for time off should be communicated in advance and are preferably not granted during the first weeks of assignment. All candidates must comply with floating policies and be oriented to new units as necessary. Modules are non-billable and are completed during orientation.
