Job Description Glass Plant 2nd shift Monday - Friday 5pm to 1:30am $ shift differential DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance of the shift supervisor, directs the activities of one or more areas in an efficient manner for the desired quality and quantity of work. Leads receiving team members, mentors and motivates team members ensuring productivity. Facilitates team operations through the sharing of information and knowledge, identification of teamwork issues, encouraging suggestions, development of problem‐solving recommendations, and recommendations of standardizing team. Monitors team members to identify and provide training as needed or required. Informs supervisor of operating and/or employee issues. Collects and submits reports specific to team data as requested. Keeps records of departmental activities. Ensures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department. Functions as a team member and carries out duties and responsibilities assigned to the team. Serves as a resource and content expert to team members; providing them with guidance and being available to answer questions to clarify the work activities. Relays or helps team members with new or revised policies, procedures and /or processes to team members to ensure they have the most up‐to‐date and current information. Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Ability to operate a forklift & valid driver’s license Enforce the organization and storage of the raw materials warehouse Performs other duties as required or directed.
