LPN IV Certified Clinic - Medical Oncology Location: Saint Joseph, MO, United States (On-site) Job Description The Clinic LPN works under the supervision of leadership. The Clinic LPN administers quality patient care according to established standards and may delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel. The LPN may be required to work in other areas according to the skill of staff and acuity of patients. Responsibilities Greets and prepares patients for provider examination and treatment; performs general nursing care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Assists provider with procedures and properly maintains equipment before and after procedures. Engages in patient and family teaching to achieve desired outcomes. Monitors scheduling, answers inquiries, and maintains timely flow of patients. Observes, records, and reports patients’ condition to provider. Arranges for referral testing at other facilities or specialty care. Other duties as assigned. Education Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, or military equivalent. – Required Licenses and Certifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – State Licensure. Required upon hire. IV Certification – IV certified upon hire. Required upon hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required within 90 days. Driver’s License – Valid in state. Required upon hire for operating vehicles.
