The role requires interpreting data reflective of the patient's status and providing age-specific care according to identified needs. The nurse must handle emergency situations promptly and professionally while maintaining accurate nursing documentation and meeting all competency, license, certification, and education requirements. Responsibilities: Handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner. Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessments of changes. Perform head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassess per policy. Prepare, administer, monitor and discontinue IV fluids. Meet charge nurse expectations as assigned and maintain professional behavior and guest services standards. Requirements: Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients' status and provide age-appropriate care. Maintain current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and clinical conditions. Monitor hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interpret results. Nursing documentation must reflect a comprehensive understanding of the nursing process.
