The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care through evidence-based practices, effective communication, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Assess and monitor patient health status, including physical and emotional needs. Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Maintain patient records and documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Educate patients and families about health conditions, medication management, and rehabilitation plans. Respond to patient inquiries and provide emotional support to enhance overall patient experience. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes. Standards of Behavior The Registered Nurse is expected to uphold professional standards of behavior through integrity, respect, and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues. Qualifications Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Intensive Care nursing preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Line of Authority This position reports to the RN II, Emergency Department - Director of Emergency Department.
