Accounting firm looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to maintain the financial records, including revenue, disbursements, sales tax and payroll for several companies.

The job responsibilities include working closely with our clients to process accounts payable and receivable and manage payments. Must be proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.

Responsibilities:

* Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process

* Enter data, and maintain records related to financial statements

* Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheet

* Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable records and process corresponding transactions

* Process payroll and tax payments

* Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve day to day accounting issues for multiple clients on a daily basis

* Prior experience at an accounting firm or experience with multiple accounts, bank accounts and clients preferred

* Proficient at calculating and processing quarterly payroll reports for NY and NJ

* Proven bookkeeping experience

* Strong supervisory skills and take-charge mentality

* Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records

* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements:

* Proven bookkeeping experience
* Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
* Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
* Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
* Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office
* Customer service orientation skills
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
