Senior Property Accountant

Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in our San Antonio TX office. This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, managing general ledger reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will analyze financial data, prepare management reports, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring. Additional responsibilities include supporting audits, maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions. Qualifications Strong general accounting skills, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Proficiency in GAAP, internal controls, and compliance with relevant accounting standards Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis tools Ability to manage month-end and year-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus Relevant experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in real estate or retail-related industries #J-18808-Ljbffr The Retail Connection
