About this position This is an independent practice opportunity for Sleep Medicine physicians who want clinical autonomy while receiving structured operational support for the non‑clinical functions of their own practice. Physicians own and operate their own practice entity; MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support services. Physician Responsibilities Provide sleep medicine care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing and participate in required activities. Determine the clinical services offered by the practice. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine or a related specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets are available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
