Assistant Manager

Road transportation delivery position requires you to be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and have access to an insured vehicle for deliveries. You must possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately (calculator allowed). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and precise movements. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. General Job Duties Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Deliver product by car to customer’s door and drop flyers and door hangers. Training Orientation and training provided on the job. Communication skills to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person. Work Conditions Exposure To Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product and performing outside tasks. In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F and above in some areas. Sudden changes in temperature indoors and outdoors. Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in coolers. Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500 °F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Sensing Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Far vision and night vision for driving. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and hand tasks as described for daily operations. Driving Specific Job Duties Deliver product by car to customer’s door. Deliver flyers and door hangers. Requirements Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards. Access to an insured vehicle usable for delivery. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs without assistance. English language proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing. Basic computer skills. Ability to stand and walk for long periods during a shift. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Minimum 18 years of age.
