Branch Manager I

Overview UMB Personal Banking and Consumer Services offers financial solutions to customers who value individualized relationships and advisory experiences. As a branch manager, you will lead the team, set the tone for customer service, and develop associates while executing UMB’s retail strategy. Responsibilities Coach associates on performance, including proactive sales conversations, operational items, and customer interactions. Assist or provide guidance on complex account maintenance and resolve customer escalations. Collaborate with internal partners such as small business officers, mortgage officers, private wealth managers, and others. Perform teller transactions and a variety of banker functions as required. Set the branch tone to ensure associates are eager to assist customers and deliver exceptional service. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or comparable college education and/or business experience. Minimum 2 years of leadership, associate development, or management experience. Minimum 2 years of banking/financial services experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior NMLS registration or willingness to obtain registration within 90 days. Reliable transportation and ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings. Compensation Targeted base salary for this opening: $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
