Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Georgia Special Education (SPED) teaching license with required endorsements
• ADAPTIVE SPED Certification required for elementary-level placement
• SPED General Curriculum Certification required for middle school placement
• Experience supporting students with autism in either self-contained or inclusive settings
• Ability to collaborate with general education and special education colleagues
• Strong communication, documentation, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for students with autism at either elementary or middle school level
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with a multidisciplinary team
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere to address both physical and academic needs
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage and support diverse learners
• Adapt curriculum materials and modify teaching techniques to meet students’ unique needs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communication with families
• Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and administrators

This placement offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek onsite from late July 2026 through late May 2027, providing a stable contract opportunity to build meaningful connections with students and fellow educators.
