RN - Med Surg

Job Summary:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Education:
Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred Education:
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certification & Licensure:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
BLS Preferred Certification & Licensure:

Languages:
English: Read, Write, Speak

Certifications & Licenses:
BLS
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing

Schedule Notes:
13 week contract Auto Offers Approved OT Billed after 48 hours Required: 2%2B years Med Surg RN experience, BLS and ACLS certifications in hand from AHA, Current MI RN licensure. Preferred base telemetry experience. Candidates may be requested to float to lockdown unit please make sure they are aware. No Block Scheduling

Shift Hours:
7PM7AM , Worker Required To Float To An Equal Or Lesser Acuity If Requested Block Scheduling not available site tries to schedule shifts consecutively but cannot guarantee the same days every week.
