Marketing Data Analyst

This position is responsible for connecting disparate sources of data throughout the organization. Identifying primary keys and joining data, ingesting, and harmonizing for campaign targeting and reporting. Gathering, analyzing and interpreting market and internal transactional data, formulating reports, visualizations and presentations highlighting relevant insights to produce actionable conclusions for various departments and regions in the company. The Market Data Analyst will conceive and execute projects based on business/analysis questions or problems and will effectively collaborate with various departments to deliver analysis backed research and resulting data projects which leverage consumer insights that drive business results.

1. Builds queries and metrics to create reports, dashboards and scorecards for consumption by various departments.

2. Research and implementation of new data sources, analysis and visualization tools and extending internal transactional data with third party sources of information as needed.

3. Work with the Market Analytics Team Leader to explore data needs, conduct data analysis and share proposals/results through a combination of reports and presentations backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions.

4. Support sales, engineering and marketing departments in the joint development of business development plans and programs.

5. Routinely reports project requirements, on-going statuses of projects and documented results to Market Analytics Team Leader.

6. Creation of Prospect Database and data enhancement processes.

7. Maintains and improves understanding of market size, share and segmentation in end markets.

8. Plans and schedules workload to meet assigned target dates; manages multiple projects at the same time.

9. Facilitates consistent, organization-wide sharing of knowledge (through written reports, charts and graphs, speaking, and formal presentations) on the competition, market trends, and various findings.

1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies and trends in large data sets.

2. Comfortable with SQL Server, Salesforce Architecture, AWS, Alteryx, Java

3. Experience working with large relational database management systems (RDBMS) including table design (i.e. primary key, indexes) and query design (i.e. inner join, outer join).

4. Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics considered in lieu of educational requirement.

5. Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information using various audible and visual tools. Clear and deliberate communication are key for success in this position.

6. Ability to effectively collaborate and participate in multiple projects simultaneously.

7. Demonstrates data-oriented characteristics.

8. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and distribute data as information with attention to detail and accuracy. Data validation skills are a key requirement of this position.

9. Proficient in data analysis and applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing and regression.

10. Ability to quickly comprehend new processes/projects, work independently and self-initiate projects/tasks. Proven self-prioritization/self-management and organizational skills.

11. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, OneNote, PowerPoint & Word)
