Job Title: Operating Room RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years strongly preferred License: SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, Clienttion Badge required Must-Have: Scrub experience strongly preferred Open to accommodating block schedule upon request, dependent on unit's needs Traveler must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: The position is for an OR RN. The shift will be three 12-hour days from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. On-call requirements include up to four call shifts per month. The schedule may include weekend shifts, requiring one working weekend shift every four weeks. Travelers will be required to work at least one of the holiday periods during the contract. Experience in scrub nursing is strongly preferred. The nursing team consists of both registered nurses and certified surgical technologists. The department is busy and dynamic, providing cutting-edge technology. The facility operates as a level-one academic trauma center with multiple OR suites catering to all surgical specialties. This opportunity requires flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced environment. All travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, they may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should confirm that they do not have any time-off conflicts preventing them from completing pre-start compliance on time for the proposed start date.
