Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference in a student’s life as a dedicated school nurse for a high school-aged individual. This full-time contract role provides an opportunity to deliver 1:1 care in a supportive educational environment near Flushing, MI. You’ll work directly with a single student, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being throughout the school day.

In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and medical professionals, playing a pivotal role in the student’s academic success and overall experience. This is a school-based position contracted with Sunbelt, actively seeking compassionate and reliable Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) who are passionate about making a daily impact.

Desired Qualifications:

Active RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of Michigan
Experience working within a school setting or providing pediatric care preferred
CPR and First Aid certification required
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Previous experience providing individualized (1:1) care is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 nursing support to a high school-aged student during school hours
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform necessary medical treatments
Respond promptly to medical emergencies or health concerns
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with the student’s parents/guardians and school staff
Support the student’s participation in classroom and school activities to promote inclusion and safety
