By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision parts.Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations and required tooling.Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality.Load and unload materials, adjust machine offsets, and change tools as needed.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company procedures.Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Recommended QualificationsProven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and G-code.Demonstrated expertise in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC mills and/or lathes.Strong understanding of various machining processes, tooling, and materials.Proficient in performing quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).Experience with G-code programming and/or conversational programming at the machine control.Commitment to safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)Proficiency in G-code programming and editingCertification in CNC machining or a related fieldExperience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiativesAbility to perform preventative maintenance on machineryJob Titles That Should ApplyCNC Machinist, CNC Lathe Operator, CNC Mill Operator, CNC Machine Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist Programmer, CNC Machinist Technician, Manual Machinist, Machine Shop Technician, MachinistWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
