Develop statistically based input parameters from experimental or literature data for both probabilistic and deterministic modeling.2. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.Requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Applied Statisticians working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) MS degree in applicable science or engineering discipline with 2 years of previous applied statistics in environmental experience; or BS degree in applicable science or engineering discipline with 5 years of previous applied statistics environmental experience. Experienced in applying statistics to large industrial work tasks, Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Logical thinking and problem solving skills, Ability to perform and interpret simple data analysis, Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team,Experience with statistical analysis software (SAS, etc.), EXCEL, GOLDSIM, ACCESS, and PORFLOW databases are all desirable.Experience with waste disposal or closure activities at Department of Energy facilities is desirable Some flexibility as a vailable.
