IT Support Specialist (Contract) Salary: USD28 - USD34 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide temporary support for IT operations. In this role, you will assist employees with technical issues, maintain hardware and software systems, and help ensure a reliable and secure technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, collaborative workplace. This is a 12+ week contract position providing interim support and requires onsite attendance five days per week in Bloomington, MN. This position will pay between $28-34/hr. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Assist with the maintenance of Windows servers, workstations, and user accounts. Perform routine system updates, backups, and security checks. Set up, configure, and deploy new computers, software, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot connectivity and network performance issues. Document IT procedures and maintain accurate hardware and software inventories. Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach to teamwork. Education & Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 1–2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar role, including internships. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts. Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications is preferred. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs. Strong customer service and communication skills.
