Enterprise Network & Hybrid Cloud Architect

Salary: $112,632 - 146,443 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and at least 8 years of relevant experience in network or data center engineering/architecture.
• We prefer a masters degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• We require 8 or more years of daily, hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and network protocols.
• We require a demonstrated track record of designing compatible infrastructure that supports long-term organizational strategy.
• We value experience in strategic capital budgeting, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Zero-Trust security models, and serving as a liaison for clinical engineering/biomedical teams.
• We require strong communication and consultation skills to work effectively with executive leadership and translate technical needs into business value.
• We require the ability to guide disaster recovery and business continuity planning and implementation.
• We require a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Arista Cloud Engineer Expert (ACE-E) certification.
• We consider the following certifications highly desirable: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, CISSP, CCSP, and TOGAF.

• We lead the architecture, lifecycle planning, and ongoing optimization of our enterprise core routing and switching environment across hospitals, clinics, and data centers.
• We design and deploy secure, highly available hybrid cloud connectivity using Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and advanced BGP/OSPF routing to ensure predictable traffic flow.
• We partner with our Information Security Officer to implement Zero-Trust segmentation across campus switches, data center fabrics, and virtual private clouds in alignment with HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST standards.
• We develop engineering standards, access control policies, and automated safeguards that protect critical clinical systems and connected medical devices.
• We improve network throughput and reduce latency for large-scale data movement, including healthcare interoperability and AI/LLM data ingestion pipelines.
• We manage the evolution of our WAN edge and campus distribution layers, ensuring smooth integration between traditional hardware, SDN, and multi-cloud environments.
• We apply network automation through Python, Shell, Ansible, and Terraform to reduce manual configuration drift.
• We mentor and develop technical engineering staff, fostering ongoing learning across both traditional routing/switching and modern automated infrastructure.
• We provide expert guidance on disaster recovery, business continuity, and emergency or hurricane response efforts as assigned.
