CVICU RN that is competent to care for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients. The unit cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients. There is a 2:1 patient ratio including patients with devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage.
