Attentive Care is a licensed, CHAP-accredited home health care agency dedicated to supporting clients in maintaining safety and independence at home. We deliver in-home nursing oversight and personalized caregiver services throughout Long Island, NY.

As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing compassionate, one-on-one care in their homes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal hygiene
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Run errands and support clients with transportation as needed
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to nursing staff
• Support safe client transfers and mobility, including lifting and repositioning
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Prior caregiving experience within the past 2 years under an active HHA certification at a licensed home care agency in New York State
• Ability to lift and transfer clients averaging 150 lbs, with or without assistance, on a frequent basis
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual language skills
• Residence within 25 miles of the job location
• Availability for live-in shifts
• Willingness to work weekend shifts
