Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans focusing on both immediate and long-term goals for communication, cognitive skills, or swallowing.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that target language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families to create integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and families to foster progress beyond your sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring your patients receive a seamless experience.
• Keep accurate records in compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
