Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care

Overview Starr Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN), Wound Care. Job Type: Full-Time | Days 7:00 am-7:00 pm, rotating weekends. Responsibilities Provide bedside patient care on the assigned unit per unit-based competencies, policies and procedures. Collaborate with other staff members; implement the interventions identified in the plan of care as directed by physician. Ensure appropriate patient care documentation. Implement and assure compliance with wound center and hospital policies and procedures. Maintain familiarity with regulatory standards. Report quality of care issues to the clinical manager or Program Director. Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies. Communicate with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions. Wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care. Follow WHC policies and procedures, care protocols and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines as directed by a Registered Nurse or Physician. Assist with patient and wound care data conferences; continuing education as determined by the Program Director. Qualifications Education: Associateegree required. BSN preferred. Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required at time of hire. Licenses: Current RN license to practice in the state of NC.
