Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative and general maintenance on textile manufacturing machinery and production equipment to help ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of mechanical experience and does not necessarily need previous experience working directly with textile machinery. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, highly comfortable using hand and power tools, and able to troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment. Experience in automotive repair, industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or other hands-on mechanical environments will be considered. The successful candidate should be dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working independently, and able to identify and address mechanical issues to keep production equipment operating efficiently and meet production requirements.

salary: $37,440 - $40,000 per year

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and routine maintenance on textile manufacturing machinery and production equipment to ensure reliable operation.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues, equipment breakdowns, and production machinery malfunctions.

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems before they result in downtime.

Perform adjustments, lubrication, belt and bearing replacement, and other general mechanical maintenance as needed.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance requests to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

Assist with the installation, setup, adjustment, and relocation of manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and replacement parts used.

Work closely with production and operations teams to identify equipment issues and ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently.

Follow established safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines when performing maintenance, repairs, and equipment adjustments.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area while ensuring necessary tools, parts, and supplies are available for routine and emergency repairs.
