Sodexo is seeking a Patient Equipment Management Solutions (PEMS) Operations Manager 2 for Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. Stanford Health Care is a world-class academic medical center, consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the U.S. and a teaching affiliate of Stanford University School of Medicine.

Our PEMS teams ensure timely delivery of patient equipment while providing high-quality logistics and supply chain solutions. Success requires strong communication, follow-through, and collaboration with hospital staff to drive both client and patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate would have hospital operations management experience in Patient Equipment Management, Environmental Services Management or Patient Transportation Management.

What You'll Do

1. Maintenance and inspection of transport equipment, as well as related logistics, documentation and reporting
2. Rounding to assure client expectations are met and that we are performing tasks in a timely manner.
3. Creating a positive patient experience by setting the tone and culture of patient expectations, including the provision of concierge transport services, through a compassionate bedside manner
4. Responsible for driving patient satisfaction scores
5. Provides a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff
6. Works with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
7. Effectively manages the Unit Operating System
8. Supports a diverse and inclusive workforce

What You Bring

• Knowledge of patient transport services and/or environmental services in a healthcare setting;
• Knowledge of inventory; supply chain management; asset management within a hospital environment
• The ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management;
• Experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines;
• Proficiency with computers and other technology;
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion;
• Strong hospitality or customer service demeanor
• Ability to work a 2nd-shift; 2:30pm 11:00pm, Sunday to Thursday.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in functional areas such as call center technology, computer applications, process improvement, or related areas
