Administrative Coordinator 2

We're seeking an Administrative Coordinator 2 to serve as the first point of contact at the agency, creating a welcoming environment for clients, patients, and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.

An ideal candidate will possess the following competencies: Accepting direction, demonstrating accountability, following policies and procedures, acting decisively, communicating effectively, focusing on customers, and managing time.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience in administrative services. Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job duties include:

  • Maintaining a person-centered, recovery orientation to clients regarding their appointments, attentive to client engagement and readiness to service.
  • Determining the appropriate clinical staff to bring urgent life-threatening situations to the attention of and assuring that assistance is initiated.
  • Answering all incoming calls to the center/clinic within three rings, determining disposition.
  • Entering income verification into the electronic record system upon return receipt from the client to ensure guarantor information.
  • Completing Medicaid applications with clients needing to apply.
  • Managing service appointment scheduling in a manner that assures that clients have timely access to needed services, and in keeping with clients' needs and preferences.
  • Managing service appointment scheduling in a manner that assures that direct service providers' available time slots are filled promptly and according to standards.
  • Coding cancelled/missed/attended appointments in the scheduling program. Interfaces with clinic receptionists/support staff for proper data entry and maintenance of the clinic schedule.

Appointment type: This position may be filled by a probationary appointment.

Location: This vacancy is located at the Central Louisiana Human Services District's Caring Choices Clinic.
