Team Lead, Medical Assistant

Responsibilities Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of an urgent care provider Manages the check‑in and registration process, interviews patients, and measures vital signs Draws and collects blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients Conducts patient registration, secures required paperwork, and verifies insurance and patient eligibility Processes co‑pays and schedules patient appointments Coordinates provider referrals to assigned specialists Answers patient questions regarding their care Prepares patients for examination and performs preliminary physical tests Stocks supplies and maintains exam rooms Requirements High School Diploma required Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred Medical Assistant experience preferred Front Desk experience preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire One of the following certifications required at the time of hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA In lieu of an approved MA certification, 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or phlebotomist accepted CPOE certification for order entry required within two weeks of start date #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
