This full-time, contract opportunity is based in a well-supported district near Arlington Heights, IL, offering the chance to serve a diverse caseload ranging from Pre-K through transition-age students. As an itinerant COTA, you will rotate between multiple school sites, adapting to different environments and helping students reach their highest potential.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Prior experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to manage and adjust to varying caseloads and school schedules
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and related service professionals
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing in a timely manner

Role Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, following students’ IEPs
• Travel between assigned schools and deliver support across different age groups and classroom environments
• Document therapy sessions and student progress according to school guidelines
• Equip teachers and caregivers with strategies to support students’ functional independence
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment while supporting student engagement
• Collaborate closely with educational teams to optimize student outcomes
