Compensation: USD 80,000 - USD 90,000 - yearly Company Description The Quality Supervisor oversees and directs the daily activities of Lab Technicians within a paper manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that all laboratory testing, inspections, and quality control processes are performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and industry regulations. The Quality Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to customer specifications. Job Description Primary Responsibilities: Supervise, train, and mentor Lab Technicians to ensure testing accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. Oversee laboratory operations, including sample testing, data recording, and equipment calibration and consumable inventory management. Review and analyze quality test results to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns, investigate nonconformities, and recommend corrective actions. Assist in investigating quality complaints from customers, determining root causes, and implementing preventive measures. Maintain and enforce quality documentation, including test records, SOPs, and certifications. Lead internal audits, support external audits, and ensure readiness for customer visits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce variability, and improve lab processes. Ensure a safe and organized lab environment in accordance with safety and environmental regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Paper Science, Quality Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Required Skills: Previous experience in quality control/assurance within a manufacturing environment required (paper industry experience strongly preferred). Supervisory or leadership experience in a laboratory setting. Strong knowledge of testing methods, lab instrumentation, and quality standards (ISO, TAPPI, etc.). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
