Software Engineer IV - Pricing & Rewards Technical Lead

Job Description Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Deliver highly complex solutions with significant system linkages, dependencies, and associated risk. Lead and perform development efforts such as analysis, design, coding, creating, and testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participate in testing, implementation, maintenance, and escalated support of Truist’s most complex solutions. Lead stakeholders, including technology teams, vendors, line of business partners, and product managers through holistic technology design, build, implementation, and issue resolution activities. Ensure adherence to company and industry standards; provide technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations. Design and oversee integration patterns and efforts between vendor products and Truist application ecosystem. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity, limitations, operating time, and desired results. Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices. Use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Mentor less experienced teammates to build technical expertise. Serve as the technical expert on the team, answering and solving the most complex, unusual issues without managerial responsibilities. In an Agile environment, act as an Agile champion: deliver high‑quality software, automate manual tasks, collaborate with business from design, adhere to acceptance criteria, participate in refining user stories, provide warranty support, and transfer knowledge to production support. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and eight to twelve years of experience as a developer or equivalent education and related training. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge. Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes. Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices. Ability to lead complex projects. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems. Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Banking or financial services experience. Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills. Professional experience building apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level. Experience with Open Source tools and frameworks. Strong understanding of SaaS and cloud methodologies and architectures. Experience using web servers, application containers, and caching technologies. Solid knowledge of relational database and data warehouse design and development. Experience with messaging, middleware, and streaming technology and patterns (e.g., Kafka, MuleSoft, MQ and JMS). Experience with build tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins. Experience with Zafin or similar products for relationship‑based pricing, rewards programs, tiering, and product catalog offering. Experience in core modernization and transformation efforts.
