Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students throughout a full academic year in vibrant communities near Liverpool, NY! This role provides vital speech-language pathology services across the north and south sides of Onondaga, including Syracuse. Whether you're a seasoned SLP or seeking your Clinical Fellowship Year, your expertise will empower young learners to thrive.
What’s needed for a strong fit:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but motivated CFYs are encouraged to apply
- School-based SLP experience, or a strong desire to work in educational settings
- Background working with pediatric populations
- Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Commitment to collaboration and supporting diverse student needs
Key responsibilities:
- Provide screening, evaluations, and therapy for students needing speech and language support
- Develop IEP goals and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student care
- Document progress, maintain required records, and prepare reports as needed
- Deliver services on-site, with opportunities for teletherapy integration
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district guidelines
