Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician Location: Kent, OH, US, 44204 Work Arrangement: Hybrid Company: Maag Pump Systems, Automatik Plastics Machinery, Maag Gala Industries, Reduction Engineering Scheer, Ettlinger, AMN, Witte and Sikora – a global partner for the polymer industry, manufacturing gear pumps, pelletizing, filtration systems, and pulverizers for chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. Responsibilities Independently travels nationally and internationally as Maag/Gala’s primary technical representative to the customer. Interacts with customers daily to provide solutions to issues. Conducts annual follow up calls to all Maag/Gala customers to check on the customer and Maag machinery. Participates in customer visits to provide support for equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair activities, including logistical planning and reporting. Provides training to customers at Maag/Gala’s facility and at the customer’s location. Represents the company and collects customer feedback to facilitate continuous improvement opportunities. Conducts technical discussions regarding machinery repairs, upgrades, and selection to assist customers with solutions. Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, parts and equipment sales to develop customer‑focused solutions. Physical Requirements Must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb; stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires regular talking or hearing; uses hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach; needs clear vision that allows for close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Occasional prolonged sitting during international commercial air travel. Job Specification High School diploma or equivalent (additional technical skills a plus). Strong mechanical aptitude. A valid US Driver’s License is required. Technical training in electrical systems (single‑phase, 3‑phase or low‑voltage). Technical training in logic circuits, electric motors, gears and mechanical devices. Professional Experience Experience in a field service role. Experience using measuring/test equipment including micrometers and multimeters. Writing progress and expense reports. Global travel experience.
