Registered Nurse - Hospice

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive hospice nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting, managing symptoms and supporting both patients and their families through end-of-life care. Ensure adherence to clinical standards and deliver compassionate, patient-centered services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments to manage pain and symptoms.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families about disease progression and care options.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
• Comply with all licensing, safety, and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid, unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Hold current BLS healthcare provider certification.
• Demonstrate previous nursing experience in hospice, home health, or case management.
• Show strong clinical skills in symptom management and patient care.
• Exhibit compassionate communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferably hold a BSN or have relevant hospice or case management background.
