Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases. Address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed. Foster a team‑oriented, respectful work environment. Keep our stores stocked & fresh by ensuring food and beverage items are available and meet quality standards. Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas and follow all safety regulations. Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed. Keep the store clean and organized inside and out, completing regular cleaning tasks. Assist in inventory management and restocking. Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, process transactions, and handle cash and card payments with excellent guest service. Maintain a clean, organized register area and adhere to all cash‑handling policies. Serve as the first point of contact for guest concerns, responding respectfully and compassionately, and escalating to the shift manager when necessary. Control line lengths and provide polite, clear, and prompt communication to meet guest transaction expectations. Adhere to safety protocols when handling chemicals and following food‑safety regulations. Act in accordance with all RaceTrac policies and federal, state, and local safety regulations, including those related to food safety. Respond openly to feedback from guests, teammates, and leaders, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance. Be a reliable team player by arriving on time, supporting teammates, and working effectively with individuals from different backgrounds. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (or in progress). Previous experience in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment is a plus. A team player who takes the initiative and enjoys working with people. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending and standing. May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations.
