Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse in a rotating shift position. The role involves providing patient care on an ortho/neuro med/surg unit, with a focus on neuro assessment skills and telemetry interpretation. The successful candidate will work across a private unit admitting various medical overflow patients, supporting the healthcare organizations mission to deliver high-quality care. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotating day shifts (7 a.m. 7 p.m., 11 a.m. 11 p.m., or 7 p.m. 7 a.m.) when needed. Night positions do not rotate. Rotation frequency is low. Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN license; at least 2 years of experience working in one location; 2 years of experience as a traveler; BLS certification; neuro assessment skills; telemetry competency; ability to interpret Tele Strips. Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification. Float: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when requested. Additional Information: Unit named Phippen 6/7 is a 32-bed orthopedics/neuro med/surg unit with a mix of scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surg patients, fractures, neuro patients, and overflow medical patients. EMR system used is EPIC.
