Line Cook Full Time Service Workers Louisville, KY, US Location: M. Peppers Reports to: Chef de Cuisine (CDC) and Executive Chef (Chef) About M. Peppers: M. Peppers is an exciting neighborhood French bistro located in the Highlands. Focusing on traditional French cookery with local ingredients and a concentration on French and American wine and classic cocktails that pair harmoniously together. Schedule: Candidates must be available to work evening shifts and weekends, as these are essential to the role. Overview: We are seeking a Cook to join our team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and kitchen efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare dishes according to recipes and Chef’s instructions. Maintain consistent portioning, plating, and presentation standards. Manage your assigned station, ensuring ingredients are stocked and fresh. Fill guest orders in a timely manner, maintaining high quality. Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations. Assist with inventory, deliveries, and waste reduction efforts. Communicate effectively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Support kitchen teamwork by helping train new team members. What We’re Looking For: Experience as a cook in a fine dining or upscale restaurant. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper ingredient handling. Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills. Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs . Working in hot, humid, and noisy environments with hard surfaces.
