Project ManagerThe Project Manager will interpret the scope of a new contract as defined by sales and management, coordinate and manage projects from concept through completion, develop and maintain a baseline schedule, adhere to an established budget and interact with the customer on a regular basis.Responsibilities:Coordinate the contract review once awarded.Prepare Microsoft project schedules to define project scope deliverables.Coordinate the following processes/departments associated with manufacturing operations:Contact ReviewProcedures and specificationsDocument controlData book CompilationPurchase Requisitions and Purchase OrdersProduction SchedulingArrange customer meetings to review schedules, issues, and action items.Responsible for monitoring and reporting of all aspects of assigned projects to both internal and external customers. Including schedules, costs, supply chain performance, issues and action items.Anticipate problems and concerns and provide timely solutions.Coordinate drawing and document submittals, approvals, distribution, and revision control.Maintain a strong working relationship with the customer's third-party inspection companies.Accountable for Progress Billing Report and customer communication regarding aged receivables.Required Skills & Experience:Preferred: Certified Associate in PMP or PMPPreferred: 4-year college degree3-5 year's experience associated with project management of manufactured and fabricated offshore drilling and production equipment, or similar equipmentComputer literate with emphasis on Microsoft word, Excel, and ProjectKnowledge and experience in MRP/ERP systemsAble to read and comprehend engineering drawingsStrong planning and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical data to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperienced in machine shop/welding environmentMust be able to read and comprehend blueprintsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
