Staff/Legal Accountant

Join a growing professional services firm where you\'ll play a key role in accounting operations, financial reporting, billing, and compliance. This direct hire position is in Orlando, FL. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting activities, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close. Oversee accounts payable, including invoices, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and aging reports while resolving billing issues. Coordinate legal billing, including pre-bills, invoicing, adjustments, and client billing compliance. Administer trust accounting, ensuring accurate reconciliations and regulatory compliance. Support payroll processing, audits, and year-end reporting. Prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support audit and compliance initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of accounting experience working in a law firm required. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills and legal accounting/billing software experience required. Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Highly organized with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
