Rotary Die Cut Operator Assistant (Apstar)

Position Overview Rotary Die Cut Operator Assistant assists and supports the operator to keep equipment running and ensure high-quality finished products while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Demonstrate commitment to safety by following company safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate commitment to quality by adhering to GMP guidelines. Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, colors, special printing instructions and customer requirements. Fill containers of cleaning solvents, water, fountain solution and ink as needed. Assist with mounting plates. Communicate with the operator when problems arise on the delivery end. Assist with decisions regarding the quality of finished product. Complete required quality inspections and paperwork. Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance. Palletize stacks of finished product on ski. Repair or assist maintenance in repairing the machine as necessary. Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and surrounding work area. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisors. Qualifications Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business. Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed. Ability to effectively work in teams. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles. Ability to read a tape measure/ruler. Good mathematical skills. Good communication skills. Shift & Compensation Shift: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Overtime may be required. Compensation: $20.19 – $27.31 per hour (based on experience).
