Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Acute Care

Occupational Therapist Schedule: Days, 8 hours, M-F. Times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation. Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Requirements: 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience (Required) Long-term care or rehabilitation experience (Required) Current Occupational Therapy license (Required) Roles & Responsibilities: Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate plans of care. Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions. Provide medically necessary treatment interventions in alignment with regulatory and clinical standards. Administer rehabilitative procedures, including ADL retraining and therapeutic exercises. Assess patient progress and adjust treatments in clinical records. Consult with patients and families regarding physical disorders and provide education as needed. Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records per company policy. Participate in patient care conferences and required training as needed. Compliance / Notes: Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice. TLC
