DriverDepartment: GMT Cole Cafe 700230 Employment Type: Full Time Location: GM Tech Reporting To: Marissa Bohr Compensation: $19.25 - $20.00 / hour Description The Driver and Utility Worker plays a vital role in supporting daily dining operations by transporting food, supplies, and equipment between campus dining locations while assisting with back-of-house responsibilities. This position ensures that all retail outlets receive the products and resources needed to operate efficiently and provide exceptional service to guests. Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm. Key Responsibilities Safely transport food products, supplies, equipment, and other items from the main production facility to approximately six campus dining locations. Deliver backup meals and other food items during service periods to ensure uninterrupted operations. Load, unload, and organize deliveries while maintaining product quality and food safety standards. Verify delivery accuracy and communicate inventory shortages or discrepancies to management. Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries from supply and food vendors. Support dish room operations by washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, loading docks, vehicles, and workspaces. Follow all company, health department, and food safety regulations. Provide general utility support and assist kitchen or service teams during peak business periods. Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of dining operations. Operating a company vehicle equipped with driver safety technology Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and follow transportation procedures. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to work in various environments, including kitchens, loading areas, and outdoor conditions. Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) certification Valid Chauffer's License required upon hire Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in food service, warehousing, delivery, or utility operations. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
