Senior SEO Freelancer (40-50%) - befristet auf 10 Monate

SEO Team Member

We are a bootstrapped, fully remote Swiss company with a two-sided marketplace - customers find vetted craftsmen and craftsmen businesses use us as a customer acquisition channel.

We are looking for reinforcement for our SEO team, for a limited period of 10 months. Someone who can seamlessly join, continue the work, and strategically lead the existing content team (content editor + content creator).

You will work directly with the management team, have short decision-making paths, and real influence on a site with long-standing domain authority and >200k organic landing pages.

Tasks

• Development and implementation of the SEO roadmap for the next 10 months
• Further development of our AI-driven content creation machine (based on Claude Skills)
• Proactively tackling SEO challenges (algorithm updates, etc.)
• Technical SEO: Monitoring the technical state (crawl stats, structured data, page indexing)
• Monitoring visibility (SEO and AI)
• Launching and driving new content types to success
• Collaborating with content creator, content editor, and product
• Generally: sustainably increasing organic traffic

Qualification

• At least 5 years of operational SEO experience, demonstrably in a leadership role
• Deep understanding of programmatic SEO and the specific challenges of two-sided marketplaces
• Proficient use of GSC, Screaming Frog, and at least one rank tracker (AWR, Sistrix, Ahrefs, etc.); Plus points for experience with Matomo or Posthog
• Native German speaker - a large part of our content and SEO work is oriented towards German
• Candidates must be freelancers, i.e., demonstrably working with multiple clients
