1st Shift Production Supervisor

As a 1st Shift Production Supervisor at Progressive Surface, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. You will be responsible for managing a team of production workers and coordinating production schedules to meet customer demands and organizational goals.

• Commissions and stages material for production.
• Verifies all production machine setups and work instructions are followed
• Maintains safe and organized operations
• Is proficient in all production and quality tasks
• Monitors inventory levels for raw material and communicates needs prior to any shortages
• Works closely with all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring support of meeting labor standards, quality standards, and adherence to manufacturing specifications
• Provides team members daily workstation assignments
• Directs and coordinates maintenance activities
• Supports a culture of Lean continuous improvement seeking to minimize waste
• Assists with performance evaluations, training/coaching, tracking attendance, and administering company policies.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous leadership experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate positive, professional behavior at all times.
• Ability to work within team environment required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use computer and scanning equipment.
• Manufacturing procedure background.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and quality procedures and other instructional material printed in English preferred.
• Ability to help drive culture change through support of lean manufacturing principles
