Warehouse Clerk

Job Description

• Ensures the accuracy of all shipping/receiving documents and gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping/receiving activities.
• Prepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers.
• Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, and time of shipment.

• Ships items by verifying identifying information, quantity, and condition of items; loading and protecting items.

• Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Conducts daily cycle counts.
• Receives freight orders and subdivides into separate product category for verification and stocking activities.
• Verifies (recounts) orders received by others to ensure accuracy of incoming merchandise.
• Utilize RMS to ascertain number, size, color, and quantity of merchandise to be picked from bins, shelves, or locations.
• Picks customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Utilize material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, to transport product to shipping locations or delivery platforms and ensuring orders are staged in order of delivery.
• Organize items of pallet by unit as necessary and repacks and weigh orders which require special handling.

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous shipping/receiving experience is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and a basic understanding of Excel

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
• Ability to lift 45 lbs.
• Ability to crouch/squat 5 or more times daily
• Ability to use hand tools overhead performing tasks
