Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Goleta, US, 93117 Date: Aug 2, 2026 Posting Date: Job Area: Operations Job Level: ExperiencedMain Tasks Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance ExecutionPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment including hydraulic presses, chillers, compressors, and filtration systemsConduct condition monitoring such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil samplingInspect and service rotating equipment, including bearings, belts, and lubrication systemsDocument maintenance activities and close work orders in CMMS (SAP, eMaint, or similar systems)Troubleshooting and RepairDiagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred)Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components including drives, servos, relays, sensors, and pneumatic systemsPerform mechanical and alignment adjustments on conveyors, gearboxes, and toolingRespond to equipment downtime and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrenceInstallation and Commissioning SupportSupport installation of new equipment and upgradesAlign motors, calibrate sensors/encoders, and validate system functionalityCoordinate with Engineering and OEMs during commissioning activitiesFacilities and Utilities SupportMaintain HVAC, compressed air systems, RO/DI water systems, and chilled water loopsMonitor system performance including pressures, fluid levels, and control panelsPerform general building maintenance tasks as requiredSafety and ComplianceFollow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and confined space requirementsConduct job hazard analyses prior to maintenance workSupport safety audits and corrective action implementationDocumentation and Process ImprovementMaintain accurate maintenance records and update technical documentationSupport development and adherence to SOPs and maintenance proceduresParticipate in continuous improvement and reliability initiativesInventory ManagementTrack usage of spare parts and support inventory replenishment processesIdentify critical parts shortages and escalate procurement needsMaintain organization of tools and spare parts storage areasCollaboration and CommunicationParticipate in daily production and maintenance meetingsCommunicate equipment issues affecting production, quality, or safetyTrain and mentor entry-level technicians as neededMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenanceStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in maintenance, electrical, or related fieldExperience with PLC programming or advanced troubleshootingCertifications in HVAC, electrical systems, automation, or related disciplinesFamiliarity with SAP PM, eMaint, or similar CMMS platformsKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periodsAbility to work in confined spaces and at heights with appropriate PPECompensation and BenefitsHourly rate: $25.00 – $40.00 (based on experience and qualifications)Health insuranceRetirement plansPaid time offProfessional development opportunitiesNearest Major Market: Santa Barbara Nearest Secondary Market: Santa Maria
