Director, AI/ML Engineering, Core Tech

Salary: $176,700 - 302,900 per year Requirements:

• We require a masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
• We require at least 5 years of professional experience as a software, data, or AI/ML engineer.
• We require at least 3 years of experience designing, building, and deploying AI/ML models or AI-enabled solutions in production.
• We require at least 2 years of experience using Generative AI frameworks and Large Language Models to create consumer-facing applications or products.
• We require at least 2 years of experience leading engineering initiatives, setting technical direction, or guiding teams through the adoption of new technologies.
• We require a proven track record of thriving in agile, fast-moving environments with rapid prototyping, exploratory work, and ambiguity.
• Preferred: we value experience piloting new ways of working and scaling successful pilots to enterprise level.
• Preferred: we value a strong understanding of cloud AI/ML infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, along with MLOps tooling.
• Preferred: we value strong leadership skills and a commitment to championing ethical, responsible AI practices across teams.
• Preferred: we value excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI/ML concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• We design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that address complex business challenges, with a strong focus on responsible AI.
• We lead hands-on development of rapid prototypes and pilot solutions that demonstrate emerging AI/ML capabilities.
• We use approved AI tools to improve workflows, automate tasks, and continuously enhance our engineering practices.
• We assess emerging trends in Generative AI and Large Language Models to shape solution design and strategic innovation.
• We apply AI strategically to solve problems, uncover opportunities, and deliver measurable value for consumer-facing products.
• We integrate AI tools into the development lifecycle, establish adoption goals, align team capabilities, and remove technical blockers.
• We promote ethical AI by embedding transparency, fairness, and accountability throughout the AI lifecycle.
• We help define how AI is built, deployed, and used across Consumer Engineering, serving as a key contributor to team success.
• We partner with enterprise leadership and cross-functional teams to scale successful AI/ML pilots across the organization.
