Staff Accountant – Financial Planning & Reporting Hybrid Accounting & Financial Analysis | Public Accounting to Corporate Opportunity Are you a Public Accounting Auditor or CPA ready to make the move into corporate accounting while continuing to use your analytical and technical skills? A leading organization is seeking a Staff Accountant – Financial Planning & Reporting to join its finance team. The Opportunity This is an excellent next step for a Big 4 or public accounting professional looking to transition into industry and develop a broader finance skill set. You’ll gain hands‑on corporate experience while working with multiple entities and expanding your expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, profitability, and business planning . Key Responsibilities Build financial models to evaluate revenue, profitability, and new business opportunities Support budgets, forecasts, and annual operating plans Analyze actual results versus budget and historical performance Prepare financial reports and management analysis Perform monthly close activities and prepare financial statements Handle general ledger activities, journal entries, and cash accounting Assist external CPA firms with audits and tax returns Identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes Participate in financial and technology‑related projects What We're Looking For 2–4 years of public accounting experience required Audit experience strongly preferred CPA preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Strong understanding of GAAP and federal income tax Financial statement preparation and financial analysis experience Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial modeling Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Why Make the Move?
